![]() ![]() ![]() Take off from anywhere in the world, flying some of the world’s most iconic aircraft to any one of 24,000 destinations. Win10 recognizes it in devices and shows that the device propertly functions and the pc responds to button presses, etc. Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition - Take to the skies in the World’s favourite flight simulatorThe multi award winning Microsoft Flight Simulator X lands on Steam for the first time. I have the units mounted on a board with a keyboard mounted inbetween.Īll plugs in with USB making it easy to swap out and back as it's all self contained when mounted on the board. After installing an addon suddenly FSX stops recognizing my Saitek pro flight yoke + thorttle quadrant. It is not displayed in the controls menu. The stick springs need a looser option, I have mine on the loosest and it's still a bit too tight and tends to stick a little when trying to make fine movements, but it would be the loosest of all the sticks I've had. I prefer the T-flight Hotas for FSX - non military flying - much prefer it. Personally I have the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas, and also own the much more expensive Saitek X52. I haven't tried if for a while though, maybe they've fixed it? The two most recommended would be the Logitech 3D pro - or the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas. I simply don't use it (taken out of the FSX-SE exe.xml) but when it's exe is running the screen and its dials/buttons are a controller for the radio. The built in screen and dials are a fairly useless, they depend on an exe being run by FSX-SE, which also doesn't shut down properly when trying to shut FSX-SE down and ends up hanging FSX-SE. Well the throttle indents are a bit annoying, I'd prefer them to be less of an indent and more of a "feel" spot and ideally being able to disable the indents altogether. What isn't there to like about this combo? Ive allways wanted to play fsx, but never really taken the time to. looking to buy a joystick if I like the game. You can even use both at once, say if you want more buttons or trim controls, etc. Better with a joystick, but the XBOX works nicely. The joystick includes a z axis for rudder (twist the stick) and interchangeable springs to stiffen/lossen the stick.Īlso has a pinkie switch, a two stage trigger switch and adjustable hand rest so you can position your hand at just the right spot on the stick. Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition. I use one as a trim controller and another to look around. Works pretty well, separate throttle and joystick, lots of buttons, axis dials and levers and a slide for assigning to FSX functions, even has three hat switches. But FSX doesnt seem to pick up the joystick. My computer detects my joystick, and I can used it on other games, I even installed the drivers for the joystick off the thrustmaster site. I have a T.Flight HOTAS X and I cant figure out how to get it set up on FSX. I've had a whole bunch of various joysticks, most never are quite what I'd wanted and there was always something missing in functionality.Ĭurrent is an X52 Pro which I've had for a couple of years (This stick was used as the buldozer driver's controls in the move "Avatar"). Im trying to set up my joystick for this sim, but its not detecting it. ![]()
